West Bengal Governor removes Principal Secretary Nandini Chakraborty, will hold a meeting with Amit Shah today

The activities of the Raj Bhavan have intensified since Governor CV Anand Bose's meeting with BJP State President Sukanta Mazumdar on Saturday morning. Nandini Chakraborty was removed from the post of Principal Secretary to the Governor on Sunday night. So far nothing has been officially announced by Raj Bhavan or Nabanna in this regard. According to Raj Bhavan sources, CV Anand may hold a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Monday. 

Ever since CV Anand came to the Raj Bhavan, there have been allegations of closeness of him with the ruling Trinamool. Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari claimed that Nandini's role is very important behind this closeness. The BJP raised a number of complaints from the Governor's oath-taking, 'Hatekhadi' on the day of Saraswati Puja, St. Xavier's College function and speech in the assembly to the budget session. Initially, the central leadership of the BJP was silent on this issue, but later Shubhendu Adhikari's complaint was taken seriously.

After that Sukanta Mazumdar went to Raj Bhavan on Saturday. The conversation went on for two hours. Sukanta Majumdar's comments after leaving the Raj Bhavan revealed that there has been some change in the attitude of the Raj Bhavan. After this, a strong statement came from the Raj Bhavan on Saturday evening regarding the situation in the state and the next role of the Governor. It became clear that there would be a change in CV Anand's attitude. Meanwhile, the Principal Secretary to the Governor was removed. 

Sunil Kumar Gupta was the Chief Secretary when Jagdeep Dhankhar was the Governor. He also went to Delhi when Dhankhar became the Vice President. He became the Principal Secretary to the Vice President. After this, when La Ganesha took over as acting governor, IAS Nandini Chakraborty became his principal secretary. Even when Anand came later, Nandini Chakraborty remained the Principal Secretary.
